For some people, the hardest part about buying vintage and second-hand fashion online is that they don’t know where to start, what to look for and what to buy.
I narrowed down a list of the internet’s favorite online markplaces so you can find your own unique vintage and second-hand clothing pieces.
I will cover platforms where you can buy second-hand from:
- other people’s closets
- curated boutiques
- vintage designer bags, jewerly and clothes
- marcas modernas como lojas high street

#1 Asos Marketplace
Based in: UK
At Asos Marketplace you can have vintage shops that create and curate a selection of fashion for you. At this Asos platform, you can follow some vintage boutiques, independent brands and find new labels. Even open your own boutique. You can visit a “shop front” and fall in love. There are so many unique shops for every style.
#2 Depop
Based in:UK
Oh, Depop. I used to buy vintage and second-hand at eBay but when Depop app came out, it quickly replaced eBay on my favs when it comes to buy fashion. It has tons of individuals just like me buying and selling the most unique things. Their app is super easy to easy and you can also sell your items so you can buy new ones. My go-to place next to Asos Marketplace for finding trends while being sustainable (circular economy 💚). I recommend you to use the app version.
#3 Etsy
Based in: U.SA ( but I wouldn’t say has more items from the U.SA then from any other part of the globe)
A global marketplace where you can find thousands of handmade, vintage and one-of-a-kind items. My favorite Etsy finds are a 70’s jumpsuit, a living room print and a set of minimal jewelry. From small businesses and unique sellers distributed all over the globe.
#4 Beyond Retro
Sede em: UK
Beyond Retro has a rock’n’roll heart and cares about sustainability. Last year alongside with their parent company Bank and Vogue they rehomed 90 million items. Besides that, you can shop by decades. How cool is that?
#5 Vestiaire Collective
Based in: U.S.A
One of the most famous destinations for pre owned vintage fashion. From vintage Gucci bags to Nike second-hand sneakers. You’ll have it all.
#6 Farfetch Vintage Section
Based in: U.K
Similar to Vestiaire Collective, if you’re looking some famous designer pieces but want to get it second hand. The vintage section of Farfetch is the place where you find a Céline vintage bag or a Christian Dior floral print dress.
#7 Poshmark
Based in: U.S.A
Poshmark is crazy popular across America. I have never bought from this platform but I hear everyone from America talking about it. If you’re living there do use this marketplace because you’ll find EVERYTHING you need from other people closets at a very good price.
#8 Tradesy
Based in: U.S.A
The place for high-end brands at accessible prices. Here you won’t find many vintage gems but good deals on modern clothing.
#9 1stdibs
Based in: U.S.A
This is a very special website, also for a very special wallet. More famous for interiors but you can also find very rare vintage fashion and jewelry. Like a rare 70’s Yves Saint Laurent dress.
